Our gamble

That most people are not yet ready to beat a bookmaker in the long run.

Our first goal is to help you see how accurate your predictions are in the long term against the population, and let you know that you're not alone: it's extremely difficult to be accurate in the long run.

Meanwhile, we are fascinated by the idea of a targetted crowd -- crowd-based prediction systems,  prediction markets or the IARPA's hybrid forecasting challenge.

The recurring theme? Most people shouldn't be putting their money on making predictions, but on aggregate the crowd outperforms the individual.
